Quote of the day.

Regular readers will know that I don't actually have a Quote Of The Day feature or anything like it here, but this particular quote is so, so good, that I'm making it the quote of today, and, hey, it can be the quote of tomorrow too, for good measure.

In the comments to this Samizdata post from Natalie (which is well worth reading, too, by the way), one Billy Beck, on the subject of charitable giving, says:

I can't afford to 'care'.

Government has priced me completely out of that market.

A perfect summing-up.
