Interesting article but he's wrong on lots of counts; then again it's four years old, so things like the DMCA and EUCD weren't around.
On a related note I've blogged about Lawrence Lessig's Free Culture, which is excellent stuff, and I've written my own scribbles on the subject. I wish I shared Soup's optimism.
